Well...It's October folk's seasons coming to an end a bummer i know..But now's the time to get in all the filming and shooting you can get before it's gone for the winter. Today we finally got a break from this miserable cold and wet weather we have been luckily been blessed with (sarcasm included). With a nice break in the clouds i rounded up some troops with convincing plea's to come film we hit the dirty street's of the Shaw. With I'm pretty sure a bank robbery and possibly some other sort of craziness going on in the alley across from us, we decided the cops were to busy to bother us and set up. the night wrapped up after a nice long window ledge session with some handrail madness and Alex Patton, Becoming a man dropping off a roof to finish the night off well..enjoy!!

Well, After a long trip back from Toronto. I set out with Shawn, Dillion, Shayne to go check out some spots around Oshawa. Some big, Some massive just unspeakable instant cover kinda massive, and some decent spots. After driving around and not having very much luck and darkness. We settled on going to peterborough the next day.With a little elbow grease, We got the old green machine up and running and headed north. A quick warm up at the skate park and a run in with some friends turned to a good sesh around Trent University. Check out the photo's and i hope you enjoy!

A sunny, realitivly warm day brought out a decent sized crowd of brave sould ready to brave the warm waters of the Rach Wake Park in Newmarket. This place was so cool i wish i could wakeboard! I would ripped this set up for sure a little back cove on the side of a private lake. it has a electronic pully system that pulls you along at more then enuff speed to allow you to wakeboard or wakeskate. With the event underway the Am's first, followed by the pro's. Due to a really poor quality lens and a really bad focusing ring only got a few good enuff shots. Still having to wade up to my waist in the watrer to get close enough.

This here was a bit on a random shoot. I have been wanting to try shooting something a bit different then skateboarding but similar and not scooters!..Lucky for me my good buddy kyle picked me up to hang out and still being a bit of a biker himself. We headed out to a friends dirt jumps after a few minutes of guessing and luck, I was able to set up and snap a few good shots. So check them out and i hope you enjoy!

A storm filled weekend !!!

Holy Moses !! Crazy Thunderstorm's, Its been a long time since i experienced one that big. sheet lighting or as the weather guys call it (cc) lighting mixed with a few bolts trickled in. Unfortunately not able to catch much of the storm on my camera, due to high winds and constant flashes of light and roaring thunder. Started to give me the Hebe jeebies. Beside the raging storms we got that where real exciting anyways, an amazing weekend to be had hope you enjoy the few images I was able to get.

Now i don't normally like to do a HDR (high dynamic range) photo. But the high contrast of the storm rolling in was too much to resist, one of my favorite photos from the weekend.

This one is an interesting photo, again sheet lighting blocked out any chances of getting a bolt shot here. Due to a malfunction with my tripod and the rush of the storm i used a light stand an hoped for the best. luck behold it the flash of light was able to freeze a normally blurry image.

I believe this contraption is the old device they used to remove planks from the dam at lovesick lake, draining into buck horn lake. Nothing fancy but an interesting shot.

This spot is one of my favorite spots to shoot stars. Still tweaking the learning process, but could shoot at this location forever and always get something different. I have posted 3 variations of this spot as i couldn't decide witch ones looked best. So i leave it up to you i will label the others and spare the blurb.

Variation #2. Same shot but allowing the camera sensor to track the stars for 35 minutes.

Variation #3. Slightly further up the rapids here and a separate shoot the next night. This one only 15 minutes and a change in white balance to try and get rid of that nasty light pollution cause by cities!

This little feller here was climbing up the railing the morning after the first storm. Stuck around to get a few close ups, A rare chance to use my macro lens.

Final Battle Of The Dogbowl Park Battles...!!!!!

Here we are the final stop on the list for the Dogbowl Park Battles. Due to the city shutting us down, McKinney became the final leg. A great night ran nice and smoothly everyone had a real blast, and amazing tricks got thrown down.. Big tricks and loads of fun is what skateboarding is all about. A great event held by Dogbowl. That is an amazing shop with friendly staff always willing to help you out. This stops line up ran same as others ,14 & under and, 15 & over jam sessions on 3 different features. Check out the photos and i hope you like them.

A Random Day In Toronto..

Ha.Ha.Ha...All i can say. What a day not much to talk about really. A total Gong show, But with a little elbow grease, and some perseverance i was able to get a few photos. All in all some good fun and a good time all around. Plus the photos i did get are fantastic. enjoy!

Ptek Memorial Cup 2011

Welcome, Here it is The Ptek Memorial cup 2011 in Courtice , Ontario. August 13th and a beautiful day out. Sun is shining and some serious shredding was going down. Now i ended up missing the first half of the competition due to a serious lack of sleeping, led to a very nice long sleep, posting a blog late and heading straight to the skate park. I had about 2 hrs to shoot some photos, tried really hard to make the best of the large crowds and about 7 others filming. With a little bumping and wiggling, I was able to get myself nice and close, snap a few great shots. But unfortunately i missed the ending as well, so don't have the results. was an amazing time and looks like it was an amazing day for everyone who came out to support. Thanks to the sponsor's King Shit Magazine, S&J,Switch, Element,Adidas, and several others. If i forgot ya, Sorry. Well, Well, Well....Here we are already at 3 third battle of Dogbowl's Park Battle Series. A great park, mixed some great skaters, Lead to not only probably one of the biggest if not the biggest turn out yet so far. Awesome! Unfortunately i have miss placed my sheet with all the results and such. So i cant really comment on who one in 14 and under and 15+. I'm sure i can track down the info and add it in to the blog. But for you who where there ill let the photos jog your memories. I hope you enjoy the images, I will post results and photo captions as i receive them. An Evening With The Star's

Ok, Yes this is mostly a skateboarding blog. But every now and then an opprotunity to shoot some clear sky's at night come along. So i gotta grab what i can. These photos are all taken on a small island, located on Love Sick lake. In Burleigh Falls, Ontario. We had gone up to my girlfriend's trailer for our birthday weekend. After arriving the next day we got Shannon's brother and his girlfriend to take us out to one of the small islands located on there lake. Two of the star trails where taken from that island, all other photo's where taken all around the lake as well hope you enjoy these as well. Battle 1 Of The Dogbowl Park Battles

Well boy's and girl's its that time. You betcha another blog, this time ill keep the talking to a minimum as most of you know and where there... BUT!. for those who weren't, here's a bit of what went down, at battle 1 @ north Oshawa park.. here is how it went in short 15 to 30 min feature session on 3 features, 5 set, manny pad, and double set, followed by a very heated and tense game of skate. Overall a great day the rain held, and people won some great prizes. results for battle one are: Kurtis Robertson-5 points,Kori Philippe-4 points, Adrian Czuba-2 points, Game of skate winner Kori Philippe. A late night session with the boy's

Friday night started out as any other night. A extremely hot day was spent mostly inside relaxing watching skate videos and consuming loads of cold desserts to stay cool. later we got a call, to join a few close friends to skate an indoor set. now as a photographer the thought of getting a really amazing image far out weighed the thought of getting caught a few tense minutes of scoping out the scene and the guys where ready to throw down some amazing tricks so why bore you with more of my gibberish and ill let you guys check them out start with these 2 since this is my first blog post!...hopefully these will become more interesting.

The first banger of the night for sure. I believe this is either switch 180, or nollie 180, I'm sure i will be corrected on this one

By now sketching hard. By far the most nerve racking place i have had to shoot photos before, but the POP! and huge photo's i was getting the excitement was starting to calm me down by now. relaxation comes and i'm able to get in get some bangers. Got in and out no hassle's.....PHEW!!!.. Lets just say not gonna press my luck on this spot, But be glad i was part of the experience.
